Valley International Airport is a city owned airport three miles northeast of Harlingen, in Cameron County, Texas. It is the second busiest airport in the Rio Grande Valley by passenger count.
The Harlingen Arts & Heritage Museum is a one of a kind museum in the Rio Grande Valley. Our museum has three historical buildings on its grounds: the original home of Lon C. Hill, Harlingen's town founder; the Paso Real Stagecoach Inn, and Harlingen's first hospital.
Not one season, but all seasons, as more than 500 bird species make this a not-to-be-missed nature destination. Palm-fringed resacas… rare thorn forest… riverside woodlands… crashing surf; the nine different sites that make up the World Birding Center together paint a colorful backdrop for birding in the Lower Rio Grande Valley of Texas.
